In Europe measuring instruments which are under the Measuring Instrument Directive (MID) intended to be used for legal transactions must have an EU Type Examination Certificate (EU TEC) according to EU Directive 2014/32/EU before being placed on the market.
FORCE Certification is a notified body to Module B, D, F, G of the MID for the following instruments:
Water meters (MI-001) (B, D, F)
Gas meters (MI-002) (B, D, F)
Active electrical meters (MI-003) (B, D, F)
Thermal Energy meters (MI-004) (B, D, F)
Measuring instruments for liquid other than water (MI-005) (B, D, F, G)
Automatic weighing instruments (MI-006) (B, D, F, G)
Dimensional measuring instruments (MI-009) (B, D, G)
FORCE Certification A/S is also an issuing authority of OIML Certificates of Conformity for the following OIML recommendations:
R49, R50, R51, R60, R61, R76, R106, R107, R129, R134, R137, and R139.
