LD – Final Inspection

A final inspection is the procedure of choice if the elevator is identical to a model lift that has been type tested. See flow for final inspection.

A final inspection will normally only comprise of a practical testing of the lift. It must, however, prior to testing be verified that the lift conforms with the model lift. To complete the verification the necessary technical documentation shall be forwarded. The documentation shall contain the following basic elements:

  1. A general description of the lift.
    • The plans and diagrams necessary to perform the final inspection, for example. control circuit diagrams.
    • A copy of the manual for the plans and diagrams necessary for normal use and relating to maintenance, inspection, repair, periodic checks and the description of the rescue of trapped persons. The operating instructions must be in Danish.
  2. Field Test

The test will include operation of the lift with no load and at maximum load to verify that the safety devices installation is correct and functioning. It shall also verify whether the safety devices are functioning in case of power failure. In addition, there must be a static test with a load is equivalent to 1.25 times the nominal load. Practical testing is as regards cable and hydraulic lifts described in Annex’ 2-3. If the elevator is of a different type, will be prepared a test run based on the above mentioned descriptions, relevant standards and lift instructions.

If the result of the final inspection shows compliance with the model, type-tested lift, and the  operational testing is approved, we place a “approved” sticker in the lift chair including the E marking (CE0200).

FORCE Certification A / S will issue a final inspection certificate with information on the checks carried out and tests. Relevant pages of elevator service book will we completed.
